JGLS STUDENT COUNCIL 2014-15

Committee Report for Semester A, 2014-15.

 

The Events Committee has been active since the formation of SGRC. The Events Committee has had two meetings which were held to organize the Bonfire night.

 

The objective of this committee is to facilitate and help the Student Council keep a track on the Events happening in the campus. The members of the Events Committee helped the Cultural Secretary, Omung, with the Weekly Newsletter which was a project that the Student Council started this semester. The Committee also had a ‘part’ involvement in Xion 2.0 and Ethnic Night; only ‘part’ involement because the committee was still in its initial stage of formation. We hope to be able to provide more support to events organized on campus in the coming semester. 

 

As the Bonfire Night turned out to be a successful gathering/event, we hope to organize it regularly. 

 

The only problem faced by the Committee was that it was short on hands. Therefore, application procedure for membership to the Committee may be opened in the next Semester. All those who wish to contribute to the efforts of this Committee, keep a look out for the Student Council announcement for applications!
