SCHEDULE I
This schedule lays down the qualification and requirements for candidates to participate in Annual General Elections for Student Council.
List I: Qualifications
The qualifications that are to be satisfied to be nominated to contest the Student Council Core Members elections are as follows:-

She or he shall be a full-time student of JGLS;

She or he shall not be a First year student registered in the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A., LL.B. Program, LL.B. or any other 5 year or 3 year degree or diploma program;

She or he shall not have been convicted in the last one academic year for any grave or major offence by the University Disciplinary Committee at JGU;
-
She or he should have secured not less than an average grade of B+ in all the papers in the last academic year;
-
She or he should not have a re-sit examination pending due to failing a subject or being debarred from taking the exam;
-
She or he should not be going for any foreign exchange program during the tenure of the Student Council;
-
No student from the Second year registered in B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) or B.B.A., LL.B. Program or any other five year degree or diploma program shall be allowed to contest for the post of the President.
List II: Requirements
The nominees need to adhere to the following procedure. The nominee shall:

Submit her or his application to be nominated for the JGLS Student Council General Elections by clearly stating her or his name, student ID no. and program at JGLS along with one correspondence number.

Submit an undertaking stating that she or he is qualified to stand for the elections.

Mention the post that she or he wishes to be nominated for.

Annex scanned copies of her or his grade cards to the application.

Follow any other directions provided by the JGLS Student Council.
SCHEDULE II
This schedule lays down the qualification and requirements for candidates to participate in Elections of Class Representatives’ for Student Council.
List I: Qualifications
The qualifications that are to be satisfied to be nominated to contest the Class Representatives’ elections are as follows: -
1. She or he shall be a full-time student of JGLS;
2. She or he shall not have been convicted in the last one academic year for any grave or major offence by the University Disciplinary Committee at JGU;
3. She or he should have secured not less than an average grade of B+ in all the papers in the last academic year;
4. She or he should not have a re-sit examination pending due to failing a subject or being debarred from taking the exam;
5. For the Class Representative Elections of First Year Students, last one academic year shall be read as previous semester.
List II: Requirements
The nominees need to adhere to the following procedure. The nominee shall:
1. Submit her or his application to be nominated for the Class Representatives’ Elections by clearly stating her or his name, student ID no., program at JGLS and mention the class section, along with one correspondence number.
2. Submit an undertaking stating that she or he is qualified to stand for the elections.
3. Annex scanned copies of her or his grade cards to the application.
5. Follow any other directions provided by the JGLS Student Council.
