ESTABLISHMENT AND INCORPORATION OF THE STUDENT COUNCIL

2. Name and Incorporation

The name of the body comprising of elected representatives of JGLS shall be the “JGLS Student Council”. Unless otherwise specified, “Student Council” shall mean JGLS Student Council.
The JGLS Student Council shall function as a non-profit organization elected by the members of JGLS Student Body, for the welfare of Student Body at JGLS.

3. Jurisdiction

All students registered with various degree or diploma programs[1] at JGLS shall be subject to this Constitution, the Schedule to this Constitution and its various codes.

4. Franchise

All the full time members of JGLS Student Body as defined under Part I of the Constitution shall be entitled to vote in the annual Class Representatives Elections and the Annual JGLS Student Council General Elections.

[1] These courses include B.A.LL.B (Hons.), B.B.A.LL.B (Hons.), LL.B, LL.M and any other degree/ diploma courses as may be added in the list of courses offered by JGLS by the JGLS Academic Committee in future.
